I am a university gymnast as well as I want to be able to perform at a higher level.
When I’m not taking classes, I’m working hard at the gym on my skills! Once summer rolls around, I am left to train on my own.
There is a local tumbling center that I really enjoy using. The only issue is that there is no one coaching me as well as critiquing my skills. This is when I start forming terrible habits as well as developing modern injuries. I have been loosely thinking about joining a personal training program a few afternoons a week. I would still train as well as work on my performance, but I know going to a health as well as fitness center would help me even more. I suppose the reason I develop injuries so fast is because I’m strong in certain areas but weak in others. There are some parts of my body that my tumbling never uses. If I had strength all over, perhaps my muscles would be less tired as well as I would not hurt myself. Also, I think a personal trainer would deliver me exercises that could further help my skills. Everything I do now is tumbling related, so it would be nice to get balance drills that don’t have a gymnastic purpose every once in awhile. I would like to do cardio that isn’t a running tumbling trick too. I want to do weight training with physical weights rather than holding myself up. I found a gym that looks nice as well as that has good equipment. I only need to get a personal trainer that is understands my interests. I think there are interesting fitness classes provided at the gym.
