Driving for an HVAC firm

Hence, there is no point in giving an interview for this gig

My neighbor has an enjoyable job. He is a delivery driver for a major HVAC dealer, as this particular company does not stock a lot of components. The HVAC components are ordered depending on requirements, however, when the technicians understand the problem with the heater, AC, or ventilation equipment, they order the required components from the local store. My neighbor drives directly to the hardware store and picks up the items, just to deliver them to the worksite. The process is supposed to expedite the installation process. Instead of the HVAC employees having to leave the site for parts, they can continue to work while the parts are on the way. My neighbor doesn’t get any tips for his work but gets a good salary from the firm. The company also offers medical coverage, which includes dental and vision. He also gets paid time off every year. I would want to work for the same firm, driving all over the city. But I have been in a few motor accidents. My driving record is unacceptable and I am in no shape to afford insurance. The owner of the HVAC firm told our neighbor that I do not qualify for this position due to my poor track record. Hence, there is no point in giving an interview for this gig. I can’t even get work that requires delivering pizzas for Dominos, because of the speeding tickets, accidents, and parking tickets. It’s a good thing I can work for our mom and dad at the restaurant.
