A few months ago a few friends were hanging out in my house and we were talking about HVAC issues.
I was saying how I wished I could build my own Heating and Air Conditioning system myself, so that I could upgrade it and save money on installation as well as on energy bills by having the newest most efficient system installed.
Everybody agreed that would be great, but also that it probably wasn’t very easy to do DIY. But one of my friends said that he heard a little bit about ductless mini-split Heating plus Air Conditioning systems that you could maybe install on your own. I had never heard of it, so I looked into it. It turns out ductless mini-split Heating plus Air Conditioning systems didn’t require the use of the air duct and were basically an outdoor A/C condenser unit along with up to 8 indoor units with their own individual temperature controls. This sounded totally doable to me. So I called up a few of my friends, including the one who first told me about ductless mini-split HVAC and asked them if they would help me on an install, for a fair wage and pizza. They all agreed to help out. So I ordered a ductless mini-split Heating plus Air Conditioning plan to be delivered to my home. It got to my house, I called my friends over, and we got started. It was thankfully really easy and we got it done way faster than anybody thought it would. We did look up online how to install a ductless mini-split Heating plus Air Conditioning systems, and watched a few videos. The only part that felt tricky was drilling the hole between the inner plus outer wall of the house. Other than that all we had to do really mount everything plus get it all fastened.
