Getting our ductwork washed

I hate struggling with my allergies.

My struggle seems to never end.

That is the way it has been for much of my life. Although, I guess compared to some people I’m not as bad. Allergies have simply been a fact in my life since I was a little kid. When I was a pre-teen, I had to be on prescription medication in order to get through the warm season. Fortunately, as I grew older, the allergies lessened a bit. But, they never went away entirely. Living in a section where all of us have the HVAC device on for half the year, you’d think my dust irritations would be better. However, I can go through periods of time when the recycled air is worse for my dust irritations. Although all of us change the special air filters on the HVAC unit every month, the air in the home is still stale. I so wanted to find a way to inject some fresh air into the house. I wasn’t sure how to though. Not only can you not open a window when the air conditioner is on, but our home is sealed super tight. This is to keep all the HVAC treated air inside the home. I just couldn’t see a way to get some fresh air in my home until the HVAC was off. So, I called the local HVAC corporation to ask if they could solve this problem. Not only did they solve it, but it took less than a day. They installed plus HRV vent on an exterior wall. This vent periodically pulls in fresh air from outside as the HVAC plan exhausts heat. It has helped a ton.
