I was not actually prepared to be a parent when my first child was born.
I wanted youngsters my entire life as well as was absolutely thrilled to be a father, but it was blatantly clear that I had so much to learn in such a small phase of time.
There were more demands at work, all the while my wifey was still struggling to recover from pregnancy and truly needed my assistance. I started to wonder if I was a failure as well as if I would ever improve as well as figure out how to navigate all of these terribly stressful life scenarios. Thankfully for me, time healed these wounds as well as I slowly managed to adjust to being a father. Now my youngsters are much older. I obviously love them to death, but they don’t regularly follow rules around the residence, especially if they’re attempting to play games. One of the things I struggled with from the very beginning was either of them opening windows around the residence on a regular basis. This seriously would not be such a tremendous deal if it wasn’t happening in the worst summertime heat waves where the cooling machine is barely keeping up with demand. An open window for just 15 minutes is easily enough to let out a great deal of conditioned air. But it’s not just the windows, they also touch the HVAC thermostat regardless of being not allowed to go anywhere near it. After constantly ignoring my requests, I made the move to put a plastic lock box over the thermostat. I put child safety locks on all of the windows too. At times, despite your best efforts as well as intentions, your children will totally refuse to follow directions.
