I made a mistake by having my bestie help me with a master bathroom renovation, the two of us did a pretty unbelievable job for not being plumbers.
The issue is that we don’t particularly know what we are doing, however my bestie installed the shower plumbing, then he got the drain moved and did the controls.
He must have messed up something with the controls though. My unbelievable friend and I put tile over top of all the work, grouted, and caulked. Then I ran my shower for over a year before I started noticing leaks. My shower head consistently leaks now, however it is a big pain in the butt. I have googled and done more research to find that the control must be a mess. To access it tile needs to be removed and then the guts of the shower are taken out. That doesn’t sound like a DIY project. I have asked my bestie to do it although he is scared to tackle something of that magnitude. I totally get it… So I am now on the hunt for a licensed plumber to do some shower toil for me. I want him to access the shower controls and service it. I just want the leaks gone and not to worry about it anymore. I want to be able to pay someone to make my problems go away. I am absolutely hoping he will put a up-to-date tile back up for me if I supply the material. I don’t want to lift a finger and possibly screw something up. I know I won’t be doing household renovations again.
