I was really shocked when I got home one day and I learned that my house was entirely overheated.
I went to check the thermostat and it seemed to be fine, but there was definitely no A/C coming from the HVAC vents.
I finally ended up going outside after I called the HVAC company. I checked the A/C condenser unit and suddenly the problem was clear. Somebody had destroyed my A/C condenser unit. When I say destroyed, I mean completely ripped apart. I noticed that they took all the copper parts from inside the A/C condenser unit. I couldn’t believe somebody would do something like that just to get a tiny amount of copper that really couldn’t have been worth that much. I guess some people are desperate these days. When I went over what happened with the HVAC professional, I had to file a report. Fortunately, I had insurance on my HVAC system and I was able to have the A/C condenser unit replaced by paying a low deductible. I know those things are really expensive, so I’m glad that my insurance had me covered. I realize though that I’m going to have to invest in a security system that covers all around my home. I don’t want another incident like this happening again, especially with my newly replaced A/C condenser unit. I feel like whoever did this to my HVAC system before, would easily come back and do the same thing. Next time though, I want to have this criminal’s face on camera.
