I chose this path in life and am working in blue collar construction.
It pays well and I know how to do the job.
But when I look back at things I absolutely wish that I could become a heating and air conditioner worker. I absolutely have the passion for cleaning, repairing and installing central heating and a/cs. But I did not realize just how much I wanted it until I was almost 10 years into my construction career. I know they say it is never too late to change careers and do something new. However it is far easier said than done. Because you have to have some kind of income going on to support you while you are going to school to become a certified heating and air conditioner pro. And that is something I just can not do at the age I am at now. I am legitimately going to be retiring in almost 4 years, that is how seasoned I am. So it is not the time at all to guess about a more up-to-date career when my mornings of any careers are almost done! I surely gained my retirement. However I just will regularly have regrets about never becoming a certified heating and air conditioner pro in my local area. Actually thinking about it, one thing I could possibly do is after I retire go and earn my heating and air conditioner certification and then do it as a side hobby when I can for a little extra cash as a freelance and genuinely part time independent heating and air conditioner pro.
