I was distraught about how much heat plus air conditioner I was losing in my home, and i had study that only about 40% of my heating plus air conditioner was lost when traveling through the air duct. I then study how another 10 to 15% of heating plus air conditioner was lost due to lack of insulation in the home. I had a supplier come to the home plus check my insulation, however there was a lot of energy loss through the insulation in the floor of the attic. The insulation had become stiff plus flattened over the years; Small creatures plus bugs had caused the insulation to lose a lot of its efficacy. I’m not saying my home was infested with mice or other critters, however they make their way into homes throughout the years, and my insulation needed to be updated. Once the supplier had completed the insulation in the attic plus walls, she told me my buddy and I still needed some toil done, however she had to put new insulation around all the windows plus doors. She asked if my buddy and I ever saw condensation on the windows. She then asked if my buddy and I ever found ice on the windows. She wanted to know if our mudroom had a draft. She said my buddy and I needed three windows updated, plus the insulation around the windows plus door needed updated. It surprised me how much difference there was in the room! Where I had a constant draft in my mudroom plus in the family room, it was now gone. I was happy I called the supplier plus had all the insulation updated, however the updatement insulated windows made the greatest change.
