But she’s one hundred percent correct. The more I let go of thing and trying to control all outcomes, the easier I live my life. So giving up control of the heating and cooling was a pretty big step for me because I am the original heat miser. We live in a region where the air conditioning costs can go wild over the next four consecutive months. So I was always fiddling with or reprogramming the digital thermostat to the point of distraction. That’s going to change now that we have the smart thermostat. In fact, I’m not touching the new thermostat at all to give it a fair chance. But as we lean into June, this is the time that I’ll need to see the true power of this HVAC technology when it comes to saving me money.

While the temperatures haven’t hit their Summer highs, the steep humidity levels have shown up early outside. This region is pretty infamous for the level of heat and humidity we get in the Summer. That’s why you don’t see a ton of tourist heading down here like they do in the Winter. But who can blame them? I’d much rather turn my back on snow, ice and a gas furnace to come down here and enjoy the best Winter weather ever. Coming down here in the teeth of the Summer would include far too much air conditioning for me. Yet when you’re a native to this region, the humidity is just part of it. Thankfully, the heat pump and the cooling comfort it produces for us in the Summer also takes care of the humidity. When you reach for the thermostat when the heat pump is cooling mode, it starts the air conditioning process. And this process is started off by moving heat energy from one place to another. Namely, moving the heat energy out of the house where it is exhausted through the HVAC cabinet next to the house. This is why this HVAC technology is called a heat pump. It’s pumping heat energy either out of the house with the cooling process. Or, it’s pumping heat energy into the house from the ambient air outside the house for heating. As this heat energy moves out, it takes some of the moisture in the air with it. And then, the cooling air that replaces that moved out heat further dries out the air to leave crisp, cool indoor air.

I haven’t left my chair in about 5 hours now since I turned on my gaming console. I know to some that is a easily long time although I don’t plan on leaving this chair for at least 5 more hours. I have nothing going on and it’s particularly tepid outside. I have no interest in leaving the comfort of my chair, sitting in my room with the amazing cooling system on. I spent easily fantastic money on this chair and my whole ipad set up. I also spent a lot of money on getting the Heating & A/C system updated from the Heating & A/C tech recently. On top of that, I made sure to have a smart temperature control installed so I wouldn’t have to get up for afternoons like today. I will make sure that every penny I spent on the heating and cooling system is going to be used to make sure the comfort is constantly there for me. I feel the only times I’ll get up are to use the restroom and answer the door when my sub is delivered. I can tell you that I’m not cooking and I am not driving anywhere. The game I’m playing is a war game and the single-player storyline is extremely good. I suppose I might beat it within a couple of hours however after that I have other games I can play… Lazy afternoons like today I live for. I’m not the type of person to get outside and garden or whatever. I care about the fall and that’s pretty much it for outdoor activities.

I tried to get back to my games, however my tired brain, weak arms, plus clammy palms wouldn’t let me. This whole neighborhood is quiet now, just a/cs running in the background is the only music you can hear nowadays! So now what, the neighborhood will have no more music on the streets? I know my associate and I will practice in the basement of the Heating as well as Air Conditioning supplier, but there won’t be any people to watch us, just a bunch of heating as well as cooling equipment. Just getting back from the beach can be a tricky time for me because my body gets honestly freezing after swimming in the sea. Today was pretty packed on the beach already plus that tells me this week is going to be a honestly stressed afternoon, especially later around the evening time when our band will be playing. My friend and I are trying to get a bass player for tonight plus I am now waiting to see if either of them can play with us later. My friend and I are missing a great bass player plus hopefully one of these guys will join us. The heating business is closed this week so we can play earlier than normal, plus the local business where we play outside is ready for us as they are having a get-together later plus want some great cheerful songs. Anyway, I am still trying to wake my body up after going to sleep pretty late plus not sleeping that much, however I should wake up by the time we go play in the band. I will bring my little space heater, which is battery powered, so that when the sunshine goes down I can keep overheated while we play through the evening. I assume we will play for two hours this week plus I am going to repair my recorder so it records longer because we are playing longer sets now. The local corporation sells new recorders plus I may have to buy one soon as mine is getting pretty aged plus aged. I will see what they cost plus maybe grab one before we play later.
